So I'm sitting at work...
May. 9th, 2003 08:21 pm...and the computers are down. Not the internet servers, obviously, but the rest of the system is a mess. One of the drives is apparently dead or at least deathly ill, and the backup doesn't want to step in and pick up the slack. So while we wait for Mr. Computer Expert to come to our rescue, we're sitting around doing nothing. I'll be here late tonight, I think.
Watched the latest Card Captor Sakura last night. Cool show. Also picked up the newest Revolutionary Girl Utena on dvd, and for comics I got Futaba Kun-Change vol 7 (collects the final issues of the comic, oh and by the way they changed the size of their collected volumed JUST FOR THE LAST FREAKIN ISSUE, !@#$#$^$%^!!!), newest collected volume of Ah! My Goddess, and for comics, there was a new Ah! My Goddess and a new volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. kehf thought volume one was prurient, well, clearly she should avoid volume 2. THere's been several sex scenes in the last two issues.

Oh, and I haven't mentioned my stupid left hander's daily calendar in a while. Today's entry is about how the left side of the body was once believed to be easily susceptible to the powers of witchcraft and temptation, and wedding rings were worn on the left hand in order to offer protection.
This is what I consider interesting trivia. Contrast this with the entry of two days ago, which told us that Chief Left Hand got his name because -- get this -- when he was a baby he used his left hand to eat!.
That is what I consider stupid trivia, and my calendar has many more examples of stupid trivia than it does interesting trivia.
Yesterday was the birthday of Don Rickles and Harry S. Truman. They were both left handed. Hmmm....
