Jun. 15th, 2005 12:46 pmSandee says that Michael Jackson isn't really a pedophile because he doesn't have the right numbers. Most pedophiles have certain numbers, you can tell. So that settles it, although I guess he has at least on number that indicates feminimity, or something. Yeah. Whatever.
This btw is a woman who is having her last name legally changed back to her maiden name specifically and only for the reason that it will give her better numbers. She laughs about the fact that her house burned down the day after she initiated this process. Because, you know, anything that agrees with your theory is hard evidence, but anything that contradicts it is just a funny coincidence.
She was talking about Michael Jackson having money problems now, and I thought of a brilliant solution, because you know, Michael Tyson also has money problems and was doing a series of fights to help raise money to solve those problems, but after his last recent fight he gave up. He said he didn't have it in him anymore. Some analysists point out that he never had it in him -- oh, he won a lot of boxing matches, usually by brutal knockouts, but at every point in his career when he came up against an opponent he couldn't immediately knock out, someone who got back up after being knocked down, someone who had the grit and determination to persevere, Mr. Tyson was unable to deal with the situation. And you could apply that to his personal life too -- he's never been able to deal with adversity. He personally doesn't know how to get back up when he's knocked down himself. Kind of the stereotypical bully who can dish it out but can't take it, I guess.
But I digress. Clearly, what these two Michaels need to do is to fight each other. Imagine how much money you could charge people for the right to see Michael Jackson getting beat up in a boxing ring! Ellie said she'd pay a lot of money to see that, and I doubt she's the only one. You've got the freak factor in spades -- Whacko Jacko vs. Whacko Tyson. You've got a big bonus for Tyson -- someone he can actually still beat up. You've got at least two big bonuses for Jackson -- one, he can hopefully earn some sympathy from people who currently only despise him, and two, he'll have a wonderful excuse to completely rework his nose and face! Plus they can both get out of debt, and maybe even do some sort of music project together afterwards to show that there's no hard feelings. Brilliant!
I wrote down the name of a customer at work, Barry Long. Only the way I scribbled it, it looked like "Barfy Long". Wasn't Barfy the name of the dog in Family Circus? Anyway, now I want to put a character in one of my stories named Barfy Long. It's completely irrational, I know.
I gave Sandee a copy of the dvd "Chocolat" on Monday. It's one of her favorite movies that she lent to me a year or two ago, and I figured she could use some help restarting her movie collection. It was one of the few things I could think of to help her out. It wasn't much, just a movie, but it almost made her cry.
Also picked up on Saturday at Suncoast Video: Someday Dreamers vol. 3. The end of a very cool series, in its own way similar to Haibane Renmei although not as intense, but it's all about learning to grow up and helping others face their past. And since Suncoast had a "buy two get one half off", I was convinced to pick up The Lion In Winter. Not the Patrick Stewart version. I had no idea there was a Patrick Stewart version, but it was there alongside the original. ^_^ Mine is the one with Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn, of course. Sandee and Ellie have never seen this movie, I'll have to lend it to them.
