Jan. 8th, 2006 11:29 amBoxing day is every day at Club Chaos. I try to fill another box or two every couple of hours -- not going at it all at once, just a bit at a time. My plan is to have all the manga and books in the hallway and the computer room boxed up by tonight, and hopefully all the books in my room too. At least, the ones on my two paperback shelves.
One of the dishes in the kitchen decided to force the issue on whether I'm keeping it or not. I walked into the kitchen a few minutes ago to find plastic and metal bowls on the floor, along with a bunch of glass from a broken bowl. For a moment I thought someone or something had been tearing the kitchen apart, but then I realized, it's just that a bunch of bowls had decided to leap off of the shelf. I suppose it happened at night since I never heard anything. Ah well, I have 3-4 times what I want or need in the kitchen, and a lot of what's there has been there since before I moved in here 18 years ago, and is pretty much junk. I'll have to toss a lot of stuff out anyway or give it to Goodwill.
I woke up today and didn't feel any pressure to find an apartment. That's nice. ^_^ I looked at the apartment listings anyway since I've gotten used to doing that, and since I can't feel completely safe until my application is approved. But it was nice to feel like I could goof off today if I wanted to.
I might go pick up Firefly on DVD today. ^_^ If I can find a Borders. I know, I know, it will take 30 seconds to look one up in the yellow pages. I drove by what I thought was a Borders at Southcenter Friday night, but it was actually a B Daltons. Bleah!
I should write something today too. All I've done for 2006 is write in Livejournal. I've written something every day though -- mind you, there's no entry for the 3rd but that's because my post came after Midnight, so in my mind it still counts!
The apartment complex I applied for has Comcast cable. I noted that I wouldn't have to get a new account, by which I meant I could keep the same e-mail. Later when I was filling out paperwork the manager wanted to sign me up as a new Comcast customer, because she said I'd get the first four months at a discounted price. It would save me, I dunno, about $80 or so, so I didn't object. But that means I'll have to get a new account and a new e-mail. On the one hand, my current Comcast e-mail has finally started to attract a steady stream of junk mail -- it's still at the stage where it's only maybe a dozen junk messages a day, but until a few months ago I hardly got a dozen junk messages in a full week. So it would be good to switch to a new account. On the other hand, then I have to e-mail everyone and let them know. This time around I think I'll just give out one of my domain name e-mail addresses so that I don't have to ever change it again.
In other words, you can reach me at miko2 at maisonbellchan.net if you so desire. ^_^
