(no subject)
Sep. 22nd, 2006 11:19 amIsn't there a word for a mispelling that seems to make a certain amount of sense? Like writing "web sight" for "web site" or "deja view" for "deja vu". I think there's a word for that, but if not, there ought to be.
I've been reading various forums recently, junk reading, following people's petty little battles for a few minutes or so. I found this gem on one such forum:
"...you catch them doing a mistermeaner that you would let anyone else in the world get away with..."
A mistermeaner. You know, like something Mr. Meaner might do. He's a nasty one, that Mr. Meaner. ^_^
