Mr. Antisocial
Feb. 4th, 2007 11:47 pmL tried last week (2 weeks ago actually) to get me to come over to his place after work, to look at stars through the telescope or something. All week long... well, he called and left messages on three different days. The skies were incredibly clear, true, but it was also freezing cold at night. Anyway I don't like going anywhere after work, I come home and goof off. When you're an adult, you get to do what you want, which frequently for me is as little as I can get away with. ^_^ And I actually like being able to go straight home and do whatever I want and not be bothered much. At least, during the week. Although I miss the days when I worked a regular shift and
jeffrycornish and
pencil_rain might drop by with little warning to hang out, or go somewhere. Sadly, those days are over!
When I logged into SL on the weekend he said he was worried because I hadn't been around. I said I was playing City of Heroes and working on my writing. He didn't have a reply to that.
I played a lot of City of Heroes all last weekend. I was going to attend the Tai-Pan meeting but on Saturday as I was out on a nice hour long walk (despite the cold at night, the days were beautiful and sunny) around 4:30 PM it suddenly occurred to me that the meeting had been moved up, and I was already late. City of Heroes was having a "double experience weekend", so I decided to stay home and be antisocial and play more game and gain mucho experience and level up like a bandit.
However, I did manage to get the next chapter of Girl's School edited and uploaded to Fanfiction.net, which was my plan, to try and do a chapter a week.
Also last week (over a week ago) I visited my doctor. The news was pretty much all good, aside from the fact that I know I'm not getting as much exercise right now as I need to get. But basically I'm not taking any medication and don't have to see the doctor again for six months. As long as I keep eating right and getting enough exercise I'll be just fine.
This last week (not over a week ago) I visited the eye doctor and ordered new glasses. They aren't in yet, but my eyes haven't changed much at all the last few years. Which I pretty much already knew.
So this weekend I was antisocial again and played a lot more City of Heroes, but I took a break on Saturday to polish off the next chapter of Girl's School and upload it. That makes three weeks in a row of updating my story, and readers like that. I wrote some on the next chapter because it's not nearly ready for publication yet, so I'll need to do more writing this week on it than I've actually been doing the last two weeks.
Sunday
dehd came over with Valentine and we watched the Superbowl. They brought snacks. I also went to the store and bought some stuff, mostly for lunches for the next week or so. I've been pretty good about packing bento-style lunches for work at least 3-4 days a week, which saves me money and lets me eat healthy.
Anyway the key to being less antisocial was that I didn't have to go anywhere, they came here. It was a fun afternoon. I think Valentine got a bit bored at the end, and wasn't happy because he was going to miss one of his favorite tv shows. But overall it was nice to have them over. It forced me to clean up a little bit.
Now I get to got back to being antisocial! ^_^
