Feeling good
Dec. 12th, 2008 01:02 pmIt's supposed to snow tonight. Or not, according to the updated forecast. I want to get some more Christmas shopping done. I'm supposed to attend a co-worker's Christmas party Saturday. I'm supposed to have two friends visit Sunday. We'll see.
Last night: I straightened up in the living room a bit, wrapped more presents, bought more presents on the way home, exercised, and pretty much did not write anything. Bleah. I need to force myself to sit down and write a few scenes because I'm at a point where nothing is inspiring, and the only way to be inspired is to force yourself to write something. Otherwise I might be uninspired for the next eight months.
Today I figured out most of what I have left to do for Christmas shopping. I ordered a couple of things online that will hopefully get here in time, and I have trips to make to four places, and then I'll be pretty much done. I feel good because now I have an idea in mind for everyone left on my list, and where to find it.
Work has been especially slow today. I should try writing, but instead I'm posting here. I also drew a nativity scene Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus and a sheep, and colored them with highlighter pens and cut them out and stood them up with a piece of styrofoam that looks like a manger display. Yeah, it's been slow.
I went to bed last night... well, not on time so much as less late than I have been doing... but then I woke up a little before 4 AM and couldn't get back to sleep, so I logged into Second Life and did some virtual Christmas shopping. I'm nearly done with that, too. ^_^
Plan tonight: run up to Kent or Renton for some shopping unless there's snow... exercise... clean up some more... wrap more presents... finish decorating my little tree... write something.
