Dec. 25th, 2008 09:25 pmI's home already.
It snowed heavily on Christmas, big big flakes, but they were also wet and came down fast. It was very pretty. At the same time, snow was melting slowly. My dad and my brother in law had to prop up the corrugated aluminum patio deck cover thing with beams of wood because it was starting to sag and they couldn't get up to brush the snow off (although my father later managed that by standing on the top step of his step ladder, never a good idea). I shoveled all around the hot tub because my nieces and nephew wanted to use it later, then I shoveled the front walk and part of the sidewalk, and went down to the end of the street to make sure the drain wasn't plugged.
Anyway, we had Christmas, we opened presents, we ate dinner, and then I drove back so I can go to work tomorrow. The roads weren't bad... at least I-5 was clear. The side roads to where my parents liver are still an adventure to drive on, and where my sister lives too apparently... their pickup is stuck in a ditch there and will probably need a tow truck to get it out, but they put chains on their car and made it over to my parent's place.
Anyway... all for now.
