The Seattle Times gave it a poor review.
The Seattle P I gave it a glowing review.
This morning NPR gave it a poor review.
So far I've read two very positive reviews and four fairly negative reviews. I'm getting the feeling that, if I go expecting the film to be awesome, I'll be disappointed, but if I go expecting it to be a disaster I'll be pleasantly surprised. It does sound like it sticks very closely to the graphic novel, in fact most of the negative reviews state that this is exactly the problem, that the graphic novel just doesn't translate well to a movie. It also sounds like a knowledge of the book will help when watching the movie.
It will probably be worth seeing, but it's not going to be an Iron Man home run. That's my best guess before seeing it tomorrow night. ^_^ I'll probably enjoy myself, but the bigger question I guess is whether audiences as a whole will enjoy it or not.
