I own a lot of stuff, part 14

miko2...so I was writing to another music fan who said that he owned some 3500 cds, and I said that I owned in the neighborhood of 2,000+ cds. But really, I've been saying for years that I owned somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 cds, with no real idea of how accurate my numbers were.
So I decided to count them. It really didn't take that long. This was a rough count -- ie, if one shelf held 24 cds, then I'd assume that many for the shelves below it, and take away a few if the shelf wasn't completely full. So my final total is probably accurate to within a few dozen cds, give or take.
And the number of cds I own, according to my rough estimate, is... 2457.
So saying about 2500 should be accurate for the next year or two. ^_^
(I know, I know -- I own too many cds! But hey, I'm at least 1,000 below the guy I was corrisponding with!)
On a related note... one of my plans for this year is to go through my comic collection and reduce it dramatically. Who knows, maybe I'll give half of it to Chuck! ^_^
