Meh. I spent part of the day reading about music and then ordering a couple of cds. Just what I didn't need. But one of them is a cd release of a band's demo tapes -- this band, called Soldier, had a demo tape that I bought and still own, which was much better sounding than a lot of full-fledged nationally distrubuted albumns. For years I wished I had that demo tape on cd -- and today I discovered that someone actually went to the trouble of releasing it. I never expected that, because as good as Soldier was they somehow never got signed. But anyway, I had to go order the cd.
I also spent money at the store, more than I thought I was going to. I decided to buy some flip-flops. I don't think I've owned but one pair of flip-flops my whole adult life, and I decided it would be a nice idea to own a pair. The cheap ones were $4.99, but they all looked ugly, so I decided that paying $20.00 or so for a pair of Skeechers wasn't too much money, given that I probably won't buy another pair for 10-20 years.
When I got home and put them on, I realized that I really don't know how to walk in these things. I need a little practice! ^_^
Otherwise today I've been working off and on on the Ranma 1/2 story that I rediscovered this weekend. I dunno why, I may never get enough of it written to feel like it was worth writing, but since it's already started I decided I might as well see what I could do with it. Yesterday I did some work on that fantasy story I'd been looking for. At least that one has a destination in mind, so that I can anticipate finishing it someday.
