The World Is Out To Get My Mom

miko2I'm back from Longview. It's Monday and I don't want to go to work.
I love my parents but I'm glad I don't have to visit them often. Over the weekend I got a lot of political opinions from my Mom that I just didn't know how to respond to. Like, for example, she's troubled by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett because with all the money they have, they can change the world, but they probably aren't going to change it in the way God wants. They'll probably fund embryo research or something and God doesn't want that.
She's glad that Isreal is going back into Gaza because that land belongs to them, it says so in the Bible and that's why they can't give it up permenantly and that's why Isreal will always win and the United States had better recognize that fact and always back Isreal.
She's really worried about the state of our country today. I could agree with her on that, but not for the same reasons. She thinks that the Democrats don't understand the threat from Muslim terrorists or how what the President is doing is vital to thwarting this threat. In particular she thinks Edward Kennedy and Barbara Boxer are a huge threat to the country, but she also thinks Maria Cantwell is very liberal and a big threat and needs to be voted out of office.
She watches Fox News a lot. I didn't talk any politics with my Dad, but he watches Fox News too and he's more of a literal hard-line type of thinker.
