miko2Tea and Stamps
Yesterday I hatched a plan to leave early and stop at the store. I shortened my hour of exercise to 40-45 minutes (What? Just start earlier? Unpossible!). Anyway leaving early is difficult for me to do for some reason, but I managed it. I stopped at Top Foods. I got ziplock sandwich baggies. I got lunch. I got tea.
They didn't have the Stash double-spice chai tea that I've been drinking, so I got a different brand of chai tea. And then... I realized they had Market Spice Tea. Yum! My absolute favorite! The lady in front of me at the checkout was surprised to see that they carried this, too. Even the cashier said it was her favorite.
I asked for stamps. She said she had them. I said I needed a book. Did I get charged for them? I dunno. She didn't hand any to me, and I don't recall her getting any out and putting them in the bag. In any case, I was really proud to remember to ask for stamps, and I didn't even think about them again until the next day, by which point I realized I'd either not gotten them or had thrown them out with the bag (and my trash can at work was emptied out just a few hours later -- if they were there, they're long gone).
D'oh!
Manga, Comics, Writer's Night
I have several manga that I'm planning to lend to Sky this weekend -- Yotsuba!, Cheeky Angel, Negima!, Yubisaki Milk Tea, and Genshiken. Of all of those, Genshiken was the one where I hadn't read the most recent volumes. So one of my goals the last couple of days, after finishing Wintersmith, was to read those. I managed to do that -- and as usual when I do this sort of thing and delay reading a manga series until several volumes have stacked up, I wonder why I waited so long? The series is laugh-out-loud hilarious.
Now I need to watch the anime series again.
I also need to write something. I haven't been writing much lately, but I want to have something for Saturday even if it's just a short piece. That's my next goal.
I've also been thinking of what to draw for the APA. I don't want to wait until the last minute, and I want to do a comic of some kind. Still just thinking, for now.
My Tai-Pan shirt arrived at the beginning of the week. It looks good! I'll be the envy of writer's night. ^_^
