Thursday I got up early to take my car in to dealership. I was supposed to give them a two hour window, but the guy said to check back in an hour. Anyway, some of the things I wanted to accomplish before the weekend included getting speaker wires, getting ink for my printer, and getting some walking done. I put in motion plans for two of them and went walking -- down the street about a mile I guess, where I thought there was a Radio Shack.
When I got there it looked like the Radio Shack was gone. Their sign was gone, at least. Later I realized they might still be there even without the sign (it looks like there is stuff inside and the signs in the window are for Cingular and the like, but Radio Shack sells that I believe).
Anyway I had been racking my brain trying to think of where a local office supply store was so I could get an ink cartridge. Well, no Radio Shack, but right there around the corner is an Office Depot that somehow I had forgotten about. So I walked in there and bought an ink cartridge, not quite remembering what my printer was but fairly certain I'd got the right one.
Back at the dealership they said that one of the fuel sensor thingys was causing the engine light to come on. They could replace it, but if the lower sensor was brand new and the upper one was old it might still confuse the computer and make the engine light come on, so they reccomended replacing both at once. Whatever, it was another $255.00 spent, but now my car doesn't think anything is wrong. (They rushed the job for me too so I could get to work on time, after I said I didn't think I had enough time to do it -- they can be fast if they really want to, you know!)
So! Friday I got up even earlier and drove to my dentist in Bellevue. Everything went fine. As I was leaving I was thinking about what I had to do before work, and how much time I had -- about an hour and a half or so to drive back to Auburn and run errands. One errand was to hit Office Depot again, since I'd grabbed the wrong ink cartridge (but now I knew what I wanted). Another errand was to pick up some stuff for our work food party for St. Patrick's Day. I'd originally said I was bringing some home-made soup, but with the dentist appointment and with all of the stuff other people were bringing I'd changed my plans.
Anyway third on my list was to find a Radio Shack and get the speaker wires. There was one in South Auburn that I'd found on the web, but I wasn't sure I was going to have time to head down there and get what I needed.
I was thinking these things as I drove from my dentist's office, when I noticed, only a block away and directly on my right as I sat in traffic, a Radio Shack. I turned right into the parking lot and had what I needed in just a few minutes. ^_^ Plus I had time to run my other errands! And it was nice and sunny so I was in a very good mood when I got to work.
