skyoxford in Second Life. We were supposed to meet miertam too, but he wouldn't be on until early evening at the best, so I wasn't too sure about when we were supposed to meet but I checked when I got up and Sky wasn't on. So I played City of Heroes for an hour or two. Then I watched a little Newsradio and some NCAA basketball.
It was a nice day out so I eventually went for a walk. (Nice in this context means "not raining", not that you could actually see the sun.) When I got back I started a soup with veggies, a chicken broth base, and turkey kielbasa. Then I logged on to Second Life, but apparently Sky had already logged in and back off. I hung around to see if he or Miertam would show up, and in the meantime I edited my story Fuzzy Ghost. I went to send it off to Gene and realized that I had more than one version of it... and the version that I'd edited was slightly older than another version, where I'd added some descriptive, scene-setting text just before reading it for writer's night in December.
So... I got to edit it all over again. Then I mailed it off to Gene. It got messed up in the mail so I got to e-mail it twice more (once zipped, which took me a few minutes to figure out how to do that, I hadn't done it in ages).
In the meantime Mier was online and we hung out. I got to show off a lot of the different avatars I have for my character, and some of the outfits I have, and he showed me what he had. We went looking for a hat to match his outfit but then he had to log. It was pretty late by that point. He'd called Sky in the meantime, and Sky was playing WoW withgeojlc.
I watched some more News Radio and some of the latest Negima! (last dvd) that I picked up on Saturday, and I even started editing on Restoring the Lady before I went to bed.
In the morning I did some stuff and then went for a walk around 11 am. I was thinking about what else I had time to do before work -- get the mail, do some more editing, etc. Halfway through my walk I remembered that I'd promised to come in early today -- a coworker was gone and I was supposed to be at work by 11 am. Oops!
Ah well. I got in by noon, half an hour early than I'd normally be there.
I spent some money on the weekend, buying a few cheap dvds off of Ebay. I don't even remember exactly what I picked up. One was some Oz-related animated story that I'd never heard of. Another was "Wrongfully Accused", a Leslie Nielson spoof of The Fugitive. It looks like it'll be funny, if you find Nielson funny, which I do. ^_^ Also a concert dvd of Hayseed Dixie, that should be entertaining, and a King Lear dvd I think. Or maybe I got a second season of The Wind In The Willows series. I don't remember exactly, I bid a few bucks each on several things and some I won and some I didn't win. At least a couple I got for 1 cent plus S&H. ^_^
My plans for tonight are to finish edits on Restoring the Lady and send them off. That will give Gene two more stories in the queue. If I have it right, the issue that we don't have any stories for is the Fall/Christmas issue, and Fuzzy Ghost would probably be slotted for that one anyway.
Next goal after that is to get another story finished. Most likely that will be Hair of the Through that Bit Me but I'd also like to get the story before that done as well -- to explain how Vashti gets off of Hautakivi, which helps set up the events in Hair....
