Back to the Daily Grind...

I got some good stuff done over the weekend at the con, which was my goal. I got several scenes written on a story, Had a Dad, that I started many years ago and had recently been trying to figure out how to fix. I had to find a new starting point, but after a couple of false tries I managed to do it.
I also did a bit of work on Bitch, one of my Vashti stories. This is a story that's been in my head for ages, I have a pretty good idea of how things go, but I was having trouble committing anything to paper (or pixels, whatever). I think I know how to write that one now.
I drew something -- a picture of Bonehead. I'm supposed to have material ready for the artist's APA by the next Tai-Pan meeting. Actually a lot of people are, but I haven't been good about reminding anyone.
When I got home last night I played some City of Heroes and then relaxed by watching A Mighty Wind. In the morning I set up my laptop and transferred the stories that I'd been working on to my main computer so I could work on them there, and so I had current copies backed up. Something I'd noticed at the con was that I seemed to be missing one of my Vashti stories on my laptop, the one that comes just before the one I was working on. I was even more surprised to see that it wasn't on my main computer (at least that I could see). So I decided to check my bedroom computer, which occasionally has files on it that haven't been backed up elsewhere for whatever reason.
I rarely turn my computers off, but I did so before going to the con. So I tried turning my bedroom computer (The Frogstar) back on. It won't come on. I press the start button, but nothing happens.
Hopefully that's just a power supply problem or something simple, but I'll have to look at it later. It is one of my older computers.
One of my current goals is to finish a story this month, or before the next Writer's Night in two weeks. That could be Hair of the Throug that Bit Me, Had a Dad, Bitch or The Pilgrimage of Ian St. Ritz. I want to do a nice full-page picture of Vashti too.
