Miko is not really a raccoon starship cargo master named Eli, nor is he a barbarian shamaness name Jalia, nor is he even the ever-so-cool bishonen prince Miko-sama that you see in this picture. Nor is he the Steampunk rocketry expert and notorious wild west sharpshooter Jebediah "Kid Rocket" Wilson. Nor, for that matter, is he a demonic cabbit who is the ex-pet/mascot/sidekick of a dead demon hunter. But he plays them on tv... or something like that.
Strengths: Miko owns more music cds than you. He has longer hair than you. He also has started more stories than you. Well, maybe. He also owns a bike! With a kickstand!
Weaknesses: Miko can only come out at night. He only finishes about 1 in every 9 stories that he begins. He is addicted to Dr. Pepper, chocolate, and any food that includes jalapenos.
Special Skills: Miko is very good at lending manga, music, and dvds to his friends. He can juggle pens and pop cans with one hand! One at a time only!
Weapons: +5 Inconsiderate Spork of Chaos. This weapon has been banned in Red Robbins Restaurants throughout the known galaxy, and comes with a handy decoder ring.
Motto: If I had a dime for every time someone gave me a dime... I'd have as many dimes as I've ever had.

What did I do this weekend?

Got my little rogue on FV up to 9th level, then got bored. As I predicted, Sky hasn't played EQ all week. He's been very busy at work, and I think his computer just blew up.

Saturday was a Tai-Pan meeting day. I hung out afterwards, but since everyone was testing David's Tai-Pan board game and we were kind of bothering them by talking too much in the background, I decided to go home and watch my new videos (I'd hit my comic shop on the way over). Sky followed me home, and we watched Excel Saga #2. WARNING! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Later I played more Everquest and then watched some of Love Hina vol. 4.

Today I drove down to Top Ten Toys and bought a soft fuzzy stuffed pony, like the one I got for my niece and my sister. They're too cute and soft not to buy one for myself! Also got the first of Mark Crilley's Akiko kid's books... more or less children's books based on his comic, which is very cool.

I was going to get together with Sky but he drove up to Bellingham to visit Jewyldragon. I don't know if anyone went with him. So I didn't get to see I My Me Strawberry Eggs or His and Her Circumstances, or even Hyper Police. Sky has more cool anime than me. ^_^

There was a Half-Price Bookstore summer sale in some warehouse on Greenwood, so I stopped to check it out. Wish I'd known about it earlier... it was Saturday and Sunday until 6 pm, and I showed up Sunday after 5 pm so they were doing a "fill up a box for $5!" end of the sale blowout and people were just stuffing books into boxes left and right, and so as you might imagine everything had been mega-picked over and it was hard to find anything worth buying. But for 54 cents I got an illustrated copy of Mutiny on the HMS Bounty and a children's book about Lone Star Bear and how he got his name (important details: he has a raccoon friend, and the illustrations did not suck).

Then I went to the store, and bought tons of stuff (haven't been shopping in a while). I forgot to get a box of kleenex for work, or to get a bag of rice, or to get bread. I've got everything I need to make killer tunafish sandwiches... except bread. Doh! I also got a ton of stuff to make salsa... someone at work this week brought in some cabbage salsa, and it was good! So I want to make some of my own.

Went to Arby's for dinner, because french dip sandwiches sounded good. $9.95 or something for two of them plus the drink/fries deal on one. What a ripoff... as if I couldn't eat a much better meal at a much better restaurant for that kind of money. I >DO< like the Arby's market fresh sandwiches, though, but I was in the mood for french dip. Could have made it myself for much less, if it comes to that, but I didn't want to do any cooking.

E-Bay Totals: So far this week I've picked up several anime dvds. I got vol 3 and vol 4 of Blue Seed to complete my collection, for $22.50 total including shipping. Not bad! Also bought the second Ranma 1/2 movie on dvd for $9.99, but I didn't realize the company (based in Canada) wanted $7.00 for air-mail shipping... oh well, it better arrive here fast and it better not be a Chinese/Taiwanese/Singapore knockoff! Anyway, for some reason there are tons of movie 2 on dvd out on e-bay right now, all for around $10, but no copies of movie 1. As for the television series on dvd... most of the sets (season 1, season 2, etc.) are priced at or near the actual retail price, but I've seen one much lower that I'm watching, and a Singapore/Chinese knockoff that contains season 1 & 2 that I just might decide to get, unless I've decided I've spent too much money this paycheck. ^_^ I've bought two tee shirts and a mousepad as well, and bid on an Ah! My Goddess art book.

But the big question is... did I write anything?

Yes! Got quite a bit done on "Magical Girls in Oz", and I hope to get some more done this evening.
