Today's Song: When the Day Is Short by Martha Wainwright

Probably Martha Wainwright's most popular song is B.M.F.A., a song about her father that contains Language with a capital L. She has some things to say about her father. Which I suppose is just fine, every member of this family writes about their own experiences including other members of their family. But since I didn't want to reccomend a song that some people on my friend's list would probably never want to listen to, I picked her second most popular iTune download, When The Day Is Short.

It's a nice song. ^_^

I also want to point out that I won't be able to list as my song of the day any song by Lucy Wainwright Roche, which makes me sad. I've listened to her music on her myspace page and I like it, but she's only been a performer for a short time, so you can't find her music at Amazon or on iTunes. You can order her 8 song EP, cleverly titled "8 Songs", from her myspace page though. I'm thinking of doing it right now. ^_^ Rather Go seems like a nice tune.

But that still leaves Martha's mother and Lucy's mother for Thursday and Friday, heh.
