Today's Song: Willie and the Hand Jive by Amos Garrett

I forgot to do my song for the day on Friday. But I'm sitting at a table in dolphinchatter's living room (the second living room, I guess) and it's becoming obvious to me that I'm not going to get any writing done or have anything to read for writer's night tonight, so I thought I'd do this. It's the annual Tai-Pan barbeque! We hold it once a year, you know. bluesmancd is playing "Gunsale at the Church" in the background, with julesong and geoljc singing "watermelon watermelon" because they don't know the words. Well actually, he's just switched to "Dead Skunk In the Middle Road". jeffreycornish is singing too, and steingrim is just watching.

Anyway, Amos Garrett is another favorite blues musician of julesong's (as I said yesterday, she picked up on him from her favorite science fiction author Spider Robinson). Amos is quite an amazing guitarist and has instructional videos in how to play blues guitar. Anyway, this is a pretty amazing cover of the old Johnny Otis song. I don't have a link for it, but I found it on iTunes.
