Today's Song: All My Best Friends Are Metal Heads by Less Than Jake

My last ska band of the week is Less Than Jake, a third-wave ska/punk band from Gainsville, FL. I discovered them on Youtube based on a comment someone made on another page for a song by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. After listening to several tracks of theirs I downloaded Short Fuse Burning from iTunes, and then went ahead and ordered the cd Anthem which is apparently one of their best.

All My Best Friends... is from an earlier cd, but it's a fun song. Like most bands out there, Less Than Jake listen to a lot of music that doesn't fit into their own particular genre. They do listen to a lot of metal, and have a lot of friends who listen to metal. I've always found it hilarious how people (especially metal heads I must admit, but you find people like this everywhere) think that their favorite style of music is the be-all end-all of everything, and every other style of music under the sun sucks. Usually the bands they're so in love with listen to a lot of things that these fans have placed in the "suck" category. There's too much good music out there to get yourself trapped into just one music style.
