Today's Song: Nothing to Say by the Galactic Cowboys

The Galactic Cowboys were one of my favorite metal bands. I think I saw them live three times, twice opening for King's X and once for Dream Theater. The fact that I never saw them as a headline act is one of th reasons they eventually called it quits, I'm sure. Despite having a great sound that fused Beatle-esque harmonies with powerful progressive metal, they remained a fairly obscure band for their entire existance. I have to admit, their songwriting was sometimes suspect and they were rarely able to sustain a high level of excellence throughout an entire cd, but their best stuff in my opinion was simply awesome.

I decided to take advantage of the fact that one of their songs can be found on Youtube to list it as my song of the day. It helps that Nothing To Say is one of my favorite GC tracks, although my all-time favorite is probably still Sea of Tranquility. Anyway, here it is.
