Today's Song: Frozen by Within Temptation

This one's more of a ballad (and probably a more Evanescense- like song) than the one I posted yesterday. Again, my favorite symphonic goth metal band from the Netherlands. You may be thinking to yourself, "Yes, but how many symphonic goth metal bands are there in the Netherlands, anyway?" Quite a few. After Forever, for example, and Epica, two of the biggest names in symphonic metal, are from the Netherlands. (I especially like Epica.) There are other well-known Dutch bands from this genre.

With that said, here's Within Temptation:

Xandria (who are not on iTunes, nor are they Dutch) compare very favorably to Within Temptation, although with a bit of an Indian / Eastern flair. I've been listening to their new cd non-stop for two weeks now:
