My boss is dumping a lot of his old cds -- stuff he doesn't listen to or he and his wife have duplicates of. He listened to a lot of mid to late 1990's alternative, some rap, some third wave ska, some electronica. Some of the cds are his wife's so it's a bit of a mix. I took a stack to my desk to listen to. So far I'm probably going to pick up:

No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Aqua - Aquarium

(both of those I remember [livejournal.com profile] skyoxford and [livejournal.com profile] jeffreycornish playing in the car when we'd hang out, way back when. I never owned either myself.)

Beck - Mellow Gold
Encomium - Tribute to Led Zeppelin

I listened to Tripping Daisy, and I remembered their song I Got A Girl I remembered how much it annoyed me.

I listened to Matchbox 20, and I remembered their song Push. I remember how I didn't like them or hate them. They're just there. Eh, maybe I'll pick that one up.

I listened to Blink 182. They're a whiny-voiced pop punk band, like Green Day but not nearly as good.

I listened to Eve6. I remembered their song Inside Out. Actually I like that one, that's a keeper.

Still got to listen to and consider: Elastica, Super Deluxe, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, a Pond cd (I own some Pond already), The Crow soundtrack (I like the Hole cover of Gold Dust Woman, in fact I'll probably pick that up), Ben Folds Five, Prodigy, Goldfinger, and some Bad Religion.

Of course, there's a lot he's getting rid of that I already own. ^_^
