miko2It's raining. Fall is here. It's dark when I get to work, and that wasn't true a month or so ago. Halloween is coming, and unlike past years we don't seem to be getting our usual Indian Summer.
Last week I managed an hour walk Monday and Tuesday, but then failed to do so on Wednesday and Thursday, despite mostly good weather. I got my walk in on Friday but failed to do so Saturday, again despite good weather. Sunday was sucky weather, but Monday afternoon was nice, and I still failed to get my walk in. I did a little exercise anyway but still, I suck.
I was a bum most of the weekend, I really didn't go anywhere, just watched television or goofed around on the computer. My big accomplishments were a little minimal cleaning -- dishes, laundry, vacuum the floor, clean the countertop. I did manage to make stew Sunday evening, vegetables with beans and turkey keilbasa in the crock pot. It's been my lunch the past two days. Everyone says it smells wonderful, like baked beans. It'll be my lunch for the next three days as well. Yay. But at least I'm saving money and eating relatively healthy, and the weather is right for stew.
Today is Tuesday, which is the day new music comes out. I usually don't pay attention to that sort of thing -- I'm almost never desperate enough to get ahold of a new cd that I have to get it on the first day it's out. But today the new Nightwish cd Dark Passion Play is out, and I've been wanting it for two months. I actually pre-ordered it from Amazon on Saturday, which may have been too late to get it delivered to me this afternoon, but it should be here by tomorrow or Thursday at least. I think.
I've avoided playing City of Heroes the last few days, but only because I've been playing Second Life. I still suck. I need to write more, or draw something. I'm supposed to write an article for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
typographer or at least respond to his e-mail asking if I'm working on it. :P Funny how I only remember that when I'm at work.
I finally finished my e-book The Fifth Elephant, and now I need to wait another month before I can get another one or I have to pay extra. I'm working my way slowly through the guard books, and not in any particular order. I've read Guards, Guards! and I'm halfway through Men At Arms, and I've listened to Thud! (thank you Gene and Mike!) and The Fifth Elephant on cd. I think next I want to buy on cd Feet of Clay, although maybe The Night Watch or Jingo would work (Jingo is a guards book right?). I also listened to Going Postal recently so maybe I could buy Making Money.
My life is so exciting. :P
