Sonota Arctica are a Finnish power metal band. Power metal bands can all start to sound the same after a while, but Sonata Arctica play a particularly blindlingly fast (at times anyway) brand of progressive power metal that most greatly resembles Stratovarius (another Finnish band) or also to some extent the English band Dragonforce. Of the three, I like Sonata Arctica best. I think I own two of their cds now.
