3:00 PM -- Got off work.
3:30 PM -- Got home, picked up mail, checked e-mail, did some stuff on my computer.

I got a cd in the mail -- and a book on cd that I'd ordered. Also I got the two screw drivers that I bought for gifts that ddin't arrive before Saturday. I'm still waiting on a couple of things that I ordered within the last month to show up.

4:00 PM -- Called my mom, got some Christmas gift ideas.

I should add here that my mother answered the phone by picking it up and saying, "I don't know!" She knew it was me and why I was calling. ^_^

4:20 PM -- Exercised on the treadmill for about 45-50 minutes.
5:30 PM -- Rested. Goofed around on the computer again. Ordered a tee shirt for my nephew.

I already have enough gifts for my nephew by my mother had mentioned that he wanted a very specific tee shirt: "A demon hunter band shirt with a rib cage on the front and the animal skull band logo intertwined. He wanted it in red." I suggested that I could find that shirt online and buy it, knowing that my mother would likely never even attempt it. I said it would be about $20-25, and she said go ahead, she'd pay for it.

I found the shirt on their web site for $16.00. It was a black shirt (not red) but it had the rib cage with their animal skull logo (demon skull is what it's meant to be I think) and the logo was all in red. They only had one style of this shirt, black with a red logo, I'm postive that's exactly what he wanted. I was going to order it with expedited UPS service, but that was another $16.98. Kinda dumb to spend more to ship it than the shirt cost itself, I thought. I went with regular UPS shipping for a little over $6.00. According to their web site I had to order it last Saturday if I wanted it before Christmas using this shipping method, but if they don't sit around on their butts for two days before shipping it out, it should probably get here on time anyway. At least, I decided for $10.00 less I could take that chance. ^_^

6:00 PM -- Drove up to Fry's. Bought presents for my dad, my mom, and my sister.

I had decided that I really liked the USB drive and carry case that Gene and Michael got for me for Christmas, and that it would make a nice gift for my father as well. After searching online I decided to check out Fry's. I was actually planning to get a 2 gig drive, but they had a nice Lexar Firefly 4 gig drive on sale for $35.00 (in store price, 1 per customer), and that was much too good a deal to pass up. Anyway, I'm not sure if my dad already has a good jump drive or if he'd find a smaller drive that useful, but a 4 gig drive should be quite useful and also be something he probably already have.

My sister wanted a keychain digital picture display. I found one that seemed to fit the bill. My mother wanted a pedometer. I found one. It comes with headphones, FM radio, and spoken voice readout of miles walked, number of steps, calories burned, etc. I don't think she necessarily wanted all the extras, especially the radio, since she walks with her friends and they probably talk rather than put the headphones on -- but eh, it's the only one they had and extra features probably don't hurt.

7:00 PM Stopped at Fred Meyers in Renton. Got presents for my other sister, and food.

My other sister didn't have a lot of things on her list, but she always likes scented candles -- the kind that come in a glass jar. I picked up two of the large ones that I thought smelled nice. I also picked up lunch meat and bread for lunches the rest of the week, and a few other things. Recently I started to once again buy bulk nuts and dark chocolate chips or dried cranberries to make a nice mix to keep around the house for snacking. I was running low, and was happy to see that EVERYTHING I put into my mix was on sale -- roasted salted peanuts, roasted unsalted cashews, raw almonds, dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and lately I've been adding pecans to the mix even though they're very expensive (usually $11.99 per lb). Today they were $5.99 per lb, and the dark chocolate chips were less than $5.00 per lb. That was all good!

8:00 PM Returned home. Unpacked. Assembled my mix. Goofed off on computer. Downloaded a few songs from eMusic.

I was supposed to get some writing done but I don't think that's going to happen tonight. Still, I'm really happy -- I got a lot of stuff accomplished. I still need to make a sandwich for tomorrow's lunch. If I wait until morning it simply won't happen.
