Today's Song: Good King Wenceslas by the Roches

As I've told my friends, We Three Kings by the Roches is just about my absolute favorite Christmas cd. It's hard to pick out just one track to feature from this cd, but their cover of Good King Wenceslas is certainly exceptional. As one online reviewer wrote, "If Elvis OWNS "Blue Christmas" (and he does), then the Roches OWN "Good King Wenceslas" - nobody does it better." Mind you, this is from a Roches fan posting on the Roches message board. ^_^ But I happen to agree with him -- this song is one of those Christmas songs that you don't hear as often, and I've never heard a version that matches that of the Roches.

But I like most of the cd. It's got quite a few songs on it. If you want a completely original song, the cd has two, and Star of Wonder is one of them that I like quite a bit.
