Sarah McLaughlan is one of those artists that is maybe a little similar to Tori Amos or Loreena McKennitt, and maybe in my own mind is a bit overshadowed by them -- not that I think she's hurting as far as popularity or sales go, but I absolutely adore Tori and Loreena. And yet, I really love Sarah's voice and her music also (and her songwriting). Since this year my Christmas cd purchase was the one by Sarah, I figure I should make at least one song from it my song of the day. I believe this is an original tune by her, and as usual it's very beautiful and melancholy.
