miko2So yesterday I started developing a sore throat in the afternoon. I ddin't feel sick otherwise, but soon I could tell I had a bit of a chest cold. After work I had to drive up to Redmond though to hit the British Pantry to pick up my last present, so I did that.
Last week I had tried to watch episode 54 of Inu-Yasha, and it froze up halfway through. I returned it to my comic dealer for credit saying it was a bad copy. Then I picked up volume 2 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya (I had 3 and 4 already) at Fry's on Monday, but it froze up halfway through too.
My dvd player is pretty old -- maybe ten years old or more. I kind of remember paying nearly $300 for it. Well, you can buy a much better, much smaller dvd player these days for much less money. I stopped at Fry's on the way back home and bought a thin Sony for $59.00.
When I got home I went running for about 35 minutes. I wasn't really feeling that great. I took some medicine, but by 9 pm I was feeling really wiped out and had a sudden very splitting headache, so I went to bed. I tried to sleep in, but by 7:30 I couldn't sleep any longer, so I got up. I watched the rest of my Haruhi Suzimiya video, and by then I was feeling really out of it. I wasn't tired, but I wasn't well. So I laid down on the couch and fell asleep, from about 8:30 until after 1 pm.
When I got up, I felt better. Ha! I think I'm over my cold already!
