Today's Song: Shaman by Amorphis

I've featured this band twice already since the beginning of November, but they've really become one of my favorite rock bands in a very short time. At first I downloaded one track from iTunes/eMusic, and then a couple more... and then several more. Then, while I was supposed to be Christmas shopping, I bought four of their cds over the course of 3 weeks or so.

Shaman comes from their latest cd Silent Waters and is an appealing mix of hard rock with folk music elements... I don't know why, but Finnish rock bands practically have the market cornered on this kind of music as far as I'm concerned. They aren't the only ones to do it but they almost always do it better. The video here is from the game Prince of Persia 2, so it really has nothing to do with the music... but it's a very cool song so I don't care. ^_^
