I don't know anything about this band, but I downloaded the song from iTunes on a reccomendation (it was on an iTunes list of great guitar rock in the 2000's or something like that, from which I downloaded several interesting tracks). It's been on my iPod for a week or so and I like it quite a bit! In fact it's just short of brilliant -- great guitar rock indeed.
Watching the video, I'm surprised to realize that the band is mostly black. They sounded like a typical modern indie rock band to me (well -- they still are, of course -- although "typical" is probably the wrong word, they're apparently quite innovative.) In fact it's not that uncommon to find a "token black guy" in an otherwise all-white indie/alternative rock group -- the drummer for The Connells, for example. It's kind of refreshing to find an indie rock group with one lone "token white guy". ^_^
I might have to check out more from this band, if it's all this good I may have discovered a new band. ^_^
