Today's Song: Song of Death by Seraphim

I'm going to feature two songs by Seraphim in a row, because I have two of their cds and while Resurrect from their cd Ai is my favorite song of theirs, I actually promised to listen to their other cd, The Equal Spirit, and pick a song from that one. Also, I'm stil behind on my song-a-day thing. So, pretty much picking the one song that is from that cd that is both on their myspace page and for which there is a video on Youtube, I've chosen to feature Song of Death.

It's like a lot of their other stuff -- soaring symphonic power metal, beautiful female vocals with an operatic range and flair, the occasional death metal growl which is not really necessary. Sung in English, but hard to really understand what they're singing. Good stuff though. I've yet to find a mainland Chinese metal band that is anything like this good. However, Seraphim is probably only the second-best metal band in Taiwan, overshadowed by the more death-metal oriented but hugely talented band Chthonic.
