So I'm thinking about going to the store to get some stuff for the game tomorrow, and I see that I have a phone messaage. When did I get a call? I've been home all day but I didn't hear it ring. Perhaps when I was taking a shower with the radio on?

It's [livejournal.com profile] dehd. We discuss having him and Valentine down for the game tomorrow. That gives me most of a day to clean up, which I need to do anyway. Having friends over is what it generally takes for me to put any effort into cleaning.

While I'm considering this, I remember that I need to take my bags full of plastic bags to the store to recycle. I tend to forget to do this for months at a time... many months. I have a lot of plastic bags to take in.

When I gather them together my blender/smoothie machine is revealed. I knew it was there, but I don't always see all of it because of the plastic bags.

Hmmm, I think. Making a fruit smoothie would be a good idea for Superbowl Sunday.

At the store I buy a cantelope, and then for variety some strawberries and a few bananas. I buy more stuff than I really need to, but it's been at least a week since I went shopping. I buy a bag of crushed ice.

Back home I go to put the crushed ice into the freezer. There isn't a lot of room. I realize that this is because there is stilll a bag of crushed ice (now frozen into a block) in the back that I've been meaning to remove for a long time.

I further recall that it might actually be what's left from a bag of crushed ice that [livejournal.com profile] dehd brought over last year for Superbowl Sunday.

Yikes.

I swear I saw one of these in Fern Gully or some Warner Brothers cartoon....
