Kristin Hersh's solo work is quite different from that of her bands Throwing Muses and 50 Foot Wave. Some of it qualifies as sing-songwriter folk music -- in fact, for the cd Murder, Misery and Then Goodnight she did nothing but covers of folk songs, mostly involving murder. Your Ghost comes from her first solo studio cd, Hips and Makers and is still one of her best (and prettiest) tunes.
