With the success of Pirates of the Carribean and the proliferation of viking metal, folk metal, battle metal, Hollywood movie soundtrack metal, and Tolkien metal groups, it was almost inevitable that a pirate metal group would arise. There's more than one actually. This one is apparently one of the best -- Alestorm from Perth, Scotland. I downloaded their song Captain Morgan's Revenge pretty much at random, but it's a fun song. Rum, mutiny, fighting, wenches, evil curses, the hangman's noose... it's a natural fit for heavy metal I guess.
