miko21. I went to Fry's.
2. I looked at more expensive video cards, but then I bought one of the cheaper ones... XFS Geforce 8400 GS for $84.95. It even came with a $20.00 rebate, if I send it in.
3. I looked at more expensive mice... some glowed green, or red, or blue. None of them glowed purple or I would own one of those. I bought a standard Microsoft optical mouse, in black.
4. I looked at memory. I didn't buy any. I'm afraid of buying some and not having it work in my computer... I'm not sure what the speed of my current memory is, but it seems to want it to match. Also not sure if I need two sticks for a pair since there are two free slots, or what. But then, I guess I already have 2 gig, I'd forgotten about that, so I really don't need more memory anyway.
5. I drove to Southcenter and went to the two bookstores there, and picked up Vampire Doll Guilt-Na. It's a Gothic lolita gender-change thing you know. Funny too.
6. My video card flipped out on me while I was playing City of Villains. I could take this as a bad sign that my new video card has problems. On the other hand, I was in a mission with a full team on the Villain side -- which I've rarely done, and which is known to be much harder on graphics processing, and I was in the must humongous room I'd ever been in, one that you definitely never see Hero side. So I was asking my new video card to do something I'd never even asked my old video card to do before -- which might mean that the failure doesn't mean that much.
