Today's Song: Anne by Flop

Since I mentioned Rusty Willoughby in my previous song of the day listing, I thought I'd feature a song of his.

Frankly I'd rather list Standing on a Bridge by Pure Joy as my song of the day, but that band is so dead and forgotten that you can't find a copy of it on the internet to listen to or a place to download it from. Rusty's other band Flop had more success and still, one of their three cds isn't to be found on iTunes. However, they have a myspace account and their fantastic debut & the Fall of the Mopsqueezer is available on iTunes (along with their swan song World of Today which I didn't like as much as their first two cds). Actually, Whenever You're Ready, their middle cd, was their only major-label release, which probably explains why it's not on iTunes -- Sony can't be bothered to release something from the past that they always considered a failure.

Both Flop and Pure Joy were awesome power-pop bands.
