miko2I had a pretty busy weekend.
One of my goals was to get my city of villains brute to level 50. I stared playing my villain in earnest about two months ago or so, once it became clear that they were working on implementing villain "Epic ATs". At the time the highest level I'd ever achieved on the villain side of the game was level 7, but I had three level 50 heroes on two accounts and I'd played the hero epic ATs on several characters.
(For the hero side, once you've reached level 50 you're allowed to create either a "Peace Bringer" or a "War Shade", two types of special character classes reserved for those who have a level 50. They're kind of alien creatures with special powers and can change into a couple of different alien forms. I have a level 39 Peace Bringer, and I have War Shades that are level 33, level 32, and level 24. I like the War Shades especially. ^_^ ).
The new patch went live last Tuesday, with the new villain Epic ATs -- Arachnos Widows and Arachnos Soldiers. At the time I was still in the mid 40's but by Friday I was level 47 and I figured I could make level 50 by Monday night.
However, as I said, it was a busy weekend. Saturday I hung out with Keith and we met up with everyone in Ballard to see the new Indy movie. We had a wonderful Chinese dinner first which![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
typographer insisted on paying for (and which meirtam was also prepared to pay for, they were both very generous). The movie was fun as long as you didn't bring your brain. Afterwards we played Wii bowling, and I got to make a couple of "guest" Miis for Gene and Mike's machine -- I made a goth girl and a mad midnight bomber what bomb at midnight.
Sunday I hung out with my ex-roommate Tom. We decided not to hit Folklife, so we went up to Fry's and then to Half Price Books, and we grabbed Chinese and Thai food and went back to watch some anime at my place. Tom spent most of the money, so I bought dinner. I also got to show him a bit of CoH and played some music for him, and made two mix cds for him.
Monday was my day to try and hit 50 on CoV (I did play a bit on Saturday and Sunday mornings too mind you). I played most of the morning and into the early afternoon, then took a break to get dressed and go to the store. I went on my walk, and I made dinner and lunches -- a sort of Greek salad with tomatoes, feta cheese, bell peppers, onions, olives, some olive oil, and fresh diced parsley, oregano and dill. Oh, and grated lemon with lemon juice. I sliced up the lemon afterwards and put it in a big jar of sun tea. ^_^
By the time I was done it was almost 8:30 pm, and I didn't think I would have time to play my villain to 50 as I'd planned... but the closer I got, the more I was willing to stay up late to finish. I think I went to bed after 11:00 pm, but I did manage to hit 50 and at least got to play with the look of the new ATs. Tonight I'll actually get to play with them a bit more. ^_^
