miko2Today's Song: The Poet and the Pendulum by Nightwish
The last few days I've been listening to songs on my "EPICA" playlist. This consists of long songs with multiple passages and time changes that give me an epic feel (quite subjective, I know). Most of these songs are bordering on the 10 minute mark in length.
Two in particular have been stuck in my head the last few days. One of these is The Poet and the Pendulum from the most recent Nightwish cd. This features their new, non-operatic singer Annette, and displays her voice in about the best light possible, in a dramatic, symphonic, over-the-top Nightwish song like those that Tarja sang in the past. It's a very good song. ^_^
