Today's Song: My Island Home by the Warumpi Band

Despite my fondness for Yothu Yindi, the best Aboriginal rock band might well be this outfit, the Warumpi Band. At least, they were a very popular band and this song in particular is quite good. It was covered by someone else years later and became a big hit (in Australia at least, I believe), but the original is beautiful in its own right.

This is another song that I couldn't find to download, although the Warumpi band has one of their more recent cds available on iTunes, eMusic, and Amazon.com.
