There's like a bajillion obscure pop rock groups up in Canada. They're mostly obscure because... well, they're in Canada. Duih. Anyway, Sloan is one of them. Well, they're not all that obscure, when it comes to power pop, or at least they're popular with power pop fans which is almost the same as saying they're obscure.
I downloaded a few of their songs and False Alarm has become a favorite song of mine the last few days. I can't link to a clip of it, but here's Sloan's myspace page. Their other stuff isn't bad either.
