miko2Today's Song: All For Swinging You Around by the New Pornographers
The New Pornographers are a power pop band from Portland, OR that feature members from other bands, most notably alt country singer Neko Case. That surprised me a bit, to come across her name while checking out power pop bands. For a side project they've become quite prolific... after a debut release in 2000 and a follow-up sophomore release in 2003, they've released almost an album a year since, and now have six cds to their name. All of them are apparently great power pop, and the few songs of theirs I downloaded I like quite a bit.
I like All For Swinging You Around the most, so far -- probably in part because Neko sings lead on this one.
