Today's Song: House of Exile by Lucky Dube

There are a lot of reggae artists in Africa these days, but back in the late 80's and early 90's there were only a few. Of those, Alpha Blondy and Lucky Dube were the most prominent.

Both artists continued to record and perform over the years, but Lucky Dube was killed durning a carjacking in his native South Africa in October 2007. Both singers sang in multiple languages -- Lucky Dube sang in English, Zulu, and Afrikaans, and Alpha Blondy sings in Djoula, French and English and occasionally in Arabic or Hebrew.

Anyway t his particular song was one I tried to download, but it's not available on iTunes or eMusic currently. Still, it's a nice song.
