*Read online comics. Get all inspired to do my own online comic.
*Read online stories. Get all inspired to work on my fanfiction stories again.
*Check out new Tai-Pan Website. Get all inspired to work on my Tai-Pan stories.
Not that I've done any of this, mind you. Just thought about it. And actually, I got sucked into Everquest last night, for at least an hour or two. :P I was tricked by my online friends, honest! Although recently I've been able to avoid EQ for the most part... helped because most of my friends aren't playing either or have quit completely. I suspect some of them are trying out the new game, Shadowbane. If it weren't for Tom's friend Jeff I really would have no reason to log in at all, but Jeff and Skals talked me into grouping with them last night, and then Tom joined us for a while. Just a couple of hours, if I could do just a couple of hours like that ever few days, that would be ideal.
Online Comics: It would be nice to put up my Mick & Dana strips so people could read them. But I know I'm not going to do more of them anytime soon, so... not something I need to do right now. On the other hand, I'm inspired to work on "Otherworld Blues" some more, which is a prose story that I originally created as a plot for a graphic novel that Sky would draw... it's a fun furry fantasy story, and I have the first chapter or so written but I need to rewrite it... and I have a plot that extends to epic novel-length.
Fanfiction Stories Most recently I've been working on a stand-alone Ranma 1/2 story called "Bonk On The Head" in which Akane winds up thinking that she's really Ranma. Very standard sit-com plot, but I'm having fun with it. I'm about 1/3 through and I really do want to finish this one up. It's a moderately long short story. Also, have been working on in the last six months two other unpublished fanfiction stories, "A Goddess In Oz" and "Imaginairy Knights Dimsdale", both of which are longer stories that I have only 1-2 chapters finished on. My other fznfiction projects would include finishing "I Can See Clearly Now", "A Brief Bit Of Insanity" and of course, I REALLY need to work on "Muyami Academy" quite a bit more. And yet I even worked on "Seven Fiancees" a little recently, which is waaay down at the bottom of my list of things to work on.
Tai-Pan Stories Well, aside from needing to finish my other Vashti stories, the most immediate things on my plate would be the 2nd and 3rd Willamina/Quantum Lady stories, one of which is half finished, the other was finished but just needs some minor rewriting... and also "Monkey In The Middle" which only needs a rewrite... after that I have all kinds of other stories that I could work on, but getting those two rewritten would be a first step before working on anything else.
I haven't written anything since Friday. I should write something every day. One thing about the online comics that I like is being able to update the storyline with a new section every few days... that makes it easier to feel like you're accomplishing something, and the one story that I actually wrote that way was "A Brief Bit of Insanity" which was written in very short chapters that I could write one a day... I think I managed to keep that up for about 15 days straight, then I stopped. Hmmm... so I've thought of putting up the first half of "Bonk on the Head" on my website, but mostly I'm trying to find ways to motivate myself to do more and to feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Also, looking at the Tai-Pan website makes me want to redesign my fanfiction website, which is cluttered and full of junky links and stuff.
One other thing I learned while looking at the Tai-Pan website was that I need to do some more reviews of Tai-Pan issues... I'd forgotten that I'd promised to do that. :P Actually, I'm not even sure if I have all the issues anymore... I leant some to a guy at the comic shop last Spring, and haven't seen them or him since. He's a friend of the owner, sorta, and does furry comics... was hoping I could talk him into attending a writer's meeting.
Oh well, but it's time to go to work so enough thinking about doing stuff for another day.
