Today's Song: Follow Me Up to Curlow by The Young Dubliners
I own three early cds by the Young Dubliners, but when I heard this song on Pandora radio I was floored. This is a band t hat has only gotten better and better over the years. They're an Irish-American folk-rock band following in the footsteps of the Pogues and very much along the same lines as Flogging Molly or the Dropkick Murphys, and this song comes from With All Due Respect: The Irish Sessions on which they covere a number of well-known Irish folk songs (many of which they've done before on other cds mind you). They also cover (for example) The Rocky Road to Dublin and Foggy Dew. Great energy and lots of fun!

Now for a tight and very intense little "Rock and Reel" playlist, include these songs:
Korpiklaani -- Northern Fall
Hoven Droven -- Slentbjenn
Flogging Molly -- Queen Anne's Revenge
Elvenking -- Another Awful Hob's Tale
Eluveitie -- Spirit
Korpiklaani -- Wooden Pints
Tempest -- Slippery Slide (from the Double Cross cd.)
The Dropkick Murphys -- Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya
The Dropkick Murphys -- The Rocky Road to Dublin
