Today's Song: Sea of Tears by Eilen Jewell
Eilen Jewell plays roots music that sounds like it came out of the 50's and 60's. Her new cd is more roots rock than roots folk/country (which is what her previous cds sounded like). This stuff sounds like it comes from a time when country, rock, and blues were very closely associated -- back when Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley could move between these genres easily. She has a great voice too.
I like her a lot. I guess her new cd has been out for more than two months. I hadn't realized, but I downloaded it from Amazon this afternoon. ^_^
