So I'm missing volume 2 of Kashimashi Girl Meets Girl (DVD). Also volume 1 of Genshiken and volume 3 (or 2?) of Ah My Goddess Season 2.
My plan was to use my 10.00 gift certificate and the money from the IRS to buy one of these at Fry's. I was expecting to pay between 15.00 and 25.00.
The problem? None of these series are brand new, therefore none of them are being sold in single DVD form. They didn't have any of Ah My Goddess Season 2, but they had the entire season 1 in a single box. They didn't have any single volumes of the first Genshiken series, but they had the box set containing all three. They didn't have single volumes of Kashimashi, but they had the boxed set containing all three. And for that matter, other series that I only have part of -- such as Venus Versus Virus -- also only come in boxes containing the entire series.
It didn't really matter that the entire 3-volume boxed set of Kashimashi was only about $22.00, pretty much what I planned to spend for one volume. The price wasn't the issue -- I didn't want to buy all three volumes again. I was only missing one of them.
And I was in one of those moods where, when I didn't find exactly what I wanted, I couldn't be satisfied. I didn't want anything else. I wandered around, considered, thought about it, debated... I took maybe 30-40 minutes before I finally convinced myself to just buy the stupid 3-volume boxed set.
Anyway, I've got 2 extra volumes of this series now. :p
