Things I keep forgetting about:
Jul. 25th, 2002 01:21 am1. I need to see a dentist. I need to find out what my dental plan with the union actually covers, and how it all works. I need to know who Sky's dentist is, because I remember that Sky liked him a lot.
2. I really need to see a dentist soon.
3. I need to ask Julie and Mike how much it would cost for them to get me a copy of Windows XP Pro. Then I need to ask them if they can get it for me.
4. I'm sure there are some other things I should be doing... like getting up earlier, getting things done, doing some exercise like walking or riding my bike... stuff like that.
So my big plan was to write 2,000 words a day starting on July 1st. So far, I don't think I've written 2,000 words all month. Well, probably I have, but not a lot more than that.
On the other hand I'm having fun with NWN still, working on my silly modules and occasionally playing the game.
Sunday after an aborted attempt at going on a bike ride (everyone bailed but Sky), I got together with Sky and we watched two dvds of Card Captor Sakura... #4 and #5 (I have the first three already). I haven't bought a lot of dvds in the past few months, because A) I've been saving my money and spending it on other things, like furniture, my new bike, etc., B) Suncoast Video, which is the best place to pick up new anime on dvd, decided sometime last year that they wouldn't take my checks, but they can't tell me why... actually their check service refuses my checks, and they don't know why it does that. I guess nobody else uses that check service because my checks are good everywhere else that I go. Since I don't like to use my credit card that much, going to Suncoast Video requires planning ahead. C) In any case, to visit Suncoast, I have to leave for work early enough to have time to stop off on the way... this is a pretty rare thing for me. ^_^ I often plan to have extra time, but most of the time I waste it and leave with no time to spare.
Anyway, if I were truly organized I'd order everything through my comic shop, because they take my checks and give me a discount as well. But the only thing I have them ordering for me right now are the Ranma 1/2 tapes and now Excel Saga dvds.
And there's quite a few series that I'd like to pick up. The rest of Card Captor Sakura, for one. I'm collecting Love Hina as it comes out... would like to pick up GTO (Great Teacher Onizaka), maybe Magic Users Club, I need to finish off my Escaflowne collection... I don't have a complete set of Trigun, but that's at the bottom of my priority list really...
So I got paid on Monday. Tuesday I left with just enough time to hit Suncoast, and I picked up Love Hina vol. 3, and Card Captor Sakura vol. 6 and 7 (I just watched 4 and 5, so I'll go back and get them some other time). They also have manga in their store now, kind of a random selection like you find at Barnes and Noble, but I saw GTO vol 2 and picked it up. That was a nice bonus -- I have 1 and 3, but I thought I'd have to go to Uwajamaya to get vol 2.
And the cold I've had since last Friday or Saturday is finally starting to go away. I can breathe again. ^_^
