End of anothe work day
Jan. 29th, 2003 11:09 pmNow I get to go home and goof off.
Lefthanded calandar thingy of the day: "Some biblical texts state that Eve was formed from Adam's left rib".
Which relates to being left-handed how? Other than the word "left" is used in the sentence? You might as well have printed "When you face North, the sun sets to the left." It would be just as relevant.
Never mind the phrase "Some biblical texts" which may indicate that there are a lot of different original texts to choose from or (my guess) that the person who researched this calandar didn't exactly know where in the Bible to find this assertion.
So. Today I got to see the Galaxy 500. As L said, it's in good condition, the interior is nice and original and the body is straight, it's just covered in mildew because it sat in a field for a year. But there's been only 2 previous owners. When cleaned up, L says it could sell for $3,000 easy.
Which is exactly what she plans to do with it as soon as she has the title in her name.
J doesn't realize this, of course. I came back from getting dinner and he was outside taking a smoke, and pointed out "my new ride". He seemed to take personal offense when I called it a boat. ^_^ He acts very much as if it's really his.
Hmmm... this could get interesting.
